About the College

The College of Information Technology (CIT) was established in 1988 as one of the two first colleges established by AU. Around 300 students are currently enrolled in the various academic programs offered by the CIT at undergraduate and graduate levels. The CIT is staffed with faculty members and instructors graduated from Western universities in IT and related computing areas. As per AU mission, the CIT is committed to promoting teaching, training, research, expertise and practice. All academic programs are delivered using well-equipped classrooms and laboratories surrounded by a full WIFI internet access allowing the CIT to offer a complete blended learning environment which combines face to face teaching sessions and access to online learning resources through the Moodle course management system. Most of the graduates of the CIT are currently employed in the public and private sectors, holding technical and managerial positions and are expected to participate actively in the development and advancement of the UAE and GCC IT fields.  Many of them also pursue their graduate studies in national and international universities as proof of the quality of the academic programs and graduates of the CIT.
