The Doctorate in Educational Leadership at HBMSU Dubai prepares a new generation of highly qualified leaders to be responsive to the evolving educational market. Doctoral study in Educational Leadership prepares learners to critically examine the conceptual, organizational, political, social, managerial, interpersonal, and technical dimensions of schools and other educational institutions. Leadership is needed in every field, particularly in education where educators play an important role in shaping the minds and attitudes of young learners for the future. Course work emphasizes on critical analysis of contemporary problems of practice in collaborative study environments with professors, school administrators, and fellow doctoral learners. With this degree, graduates will be able to gain a variety of skills, including contemporary leadership practices, innovative thinking, change management, strategic planning, and educational finance and budgeting. HBMSU also offers graduate research assistantship for full time Ph.D scholars. Graduate Assistants are full-time doctoral scholars who participate in teaching or research activities in exchange for financial support at the University. Activities that are relevant to the Ph.D. program and contribute to HBMSU's teaching, research and creative activities will be incorporated in the program. It is the first Ph.D. program in the region that combines the best of both online learning and physical classes & seminars. Ph.D. scholars will be able to take the program in any part of the world, through interactive online sessions, without disrupting their schedule. It is based on a highly successful blended learning model that is particularly suited to those who do not want to disrupt their professional careers while getting into a doctoral program. An international advisory board of eminent scholars and practitioners has also been established to review the curricula, pedagogy and technology used to deliver the courses on a regular basis to ensure highest possible standards. This program is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education - Higher Education Affairs. The Ph.D. program at HBMSU can be taken as either a full or part-time program.
