About the College

RAK College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (RAKCOPS) commenced with about 15 students from the academic year 2007-2008. The college is accredited by Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) & Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research (MOHESR), UAE. MS Programs in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmaceutics were commenced from the academic year 2012-13 onwards. The college has signed MOU with Julphar and other Pharmaceutical industries and hospitals for students training. In the last 10 years, 153 have graduated with B.Pharm and 18 with MS degrees. BACHELOR OF PHARMACY DEGREE PROGRAM (B Pharm), comprises of 6 months to one year of General Education, one year of basic sciences, two-and-half years of Pharmaceutical sciences with Practice School. The total duration is four years. The curriculum has been developed to provide learning opportunities enabling pharmacy students to acquire fundamental knowledge develop basic skills and appreciate principles relevant to health care in the context of the community. MASTER OF SCIENCE in the specializations - MS in Clinical Pharmacy, MS in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and MS in Pharmaceutics comprises of a two year program with first year of course work and the second year for dissertation work or Hospital rotation. B.Pharm program has obtained final Accreditation from Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and admissions is in progress for the academic session commencing every September.
