About the College
CHSS supports excellence in education through its contribution to the university’s general education curriculum, its advancement of Arabic language across the majors, and its graduate and undergraduate programs in the humanities and social sciences which promote critical thinking, interdisciplinary learning, global awareness, quantitative and qualitative research, and dynamic oral and written communication skills. It is the mission of College faculty to ensure that graduates have knowledge of the social, political, cultural, legal and economic forces that shape the nation, the region, and the world. By promoting analysis, interpretation, creativity, community engagement, interpersonal skills, cross-cultural awareness, tolerance, and an inquisitive mindset, the College provides students with the tools needed to grow and succeed as individuals, citizens, professionals and leaders.
